What do you think about the fact that Joe Biden is the new US president?

He wasn't my first choice. He wasn't my second choice either. But thank God he's not Trump.

I'm not a fan of Joe Biden's policies. He's too conservative for my tastes. But Biden is an experienced politician and a functioning adult. And that alone puts him head and shoulders above Donny Two-Scoops.

With Biden in office the US will move away from isolationism. It will stop dismantling legal protections for the queer community. There will be a hastening of liberal policies such as drug decriminalization. I'm sure we'll even get a few “socialist" policies too, as a bone to the Bernie Bros.

Biden is a nice compromise between the sheer malevolent incompetence of Trump, and a truly progressive candidate. And best of all, with Biden in office we'll probably see a return of the Onion's Uncle Joe character.

God, I miss him!
